1. To gather information useful in designing NVO components such as data model and metadata definitions
2. To gather data collection info as a 'registration' of data collections in the NVO -- this is derived and may be a subset of the entire questionaire.
3. This is a trial form to obtain information about data collections which may be made accessible through the Virtual Observatory.

Instrument Name/Characteristics

A. Instrument or catalog name and general specifications (URL pointer(s) for detailed information)

B. Telescope or spacecraft and URL for information (location, orbit)

C. Ground, Space, or Air

Data Collection Coverage (for all instruments in this data collection)

A. Frequency/wavelength (e.g., radio, 0-100 GHz)

B. Spatial (e.g., Northern hemisphere, <1% of sky)

C. Temporal (e.g., all observations since 1979)

D. Polarization (yes? no? type?)

E. Intensity/Flux (faint and bright limits)

Querying and receiving data from the Data Collection

A. URL or means to access the data collection

B. Keywords used to query the data collection (e.g., source, coordinates) and URL to keyword documentation

C. How does one receive the data (online immediate or online delayed or offline in library?)

Literature Reference to the Data Collection

Give the title and bibcode for the most important journal article describing this data collection. There may be links to other articles about the data collection on the instrument/catalog description link given in 1A above.
