Images and WCS
This suite of programs uses world coordinate system (WCS) information in FITS and IRAF astronomical image files to relate those images with sky positions and catalogs of astronomical sources.

  • imWCS Fit a WCS to an image.
  • delWCS Delete the WCS keywords from an image.
  • imsize Print the center and size of an image.
  • imstar Find the stars in an image.
  • remap Move the pixels in an image with one WCS to a new image with a different WCS.
  • sky2xy Print image pixel coordinates for given sky coordinates.
  • xy2sky Print sky coordinates for given image pixel coordinates.
  • SAOimage Display an image, tracking the cursor in sky coordinates.
