Abstract |
We propose to expand out near-IR/optical spectrophotometry of AGN Broad Emission Line Regions (BELRs). We will obtain IRTF/SPEX 'zJHK' spectra on the nights of January 8-10 2006 and request contemporaneous (within ~2 months) FAST optical, flux calibrated, spectra. The power of the near-IR spectra rests on line ratios to optical features to measure line ratios. A total of 2 Grey nights are required to get good S/N on our 16 IRTF/SPEX targets. Queue scheduled observations would be preferred, so long as adequate standards are taken to ensure reasonable spectrophotometry. |
