A default version of rsao.par should be set
up on the system before
rsao is used. The first time the program is used in a directory,
rsao.par will be read from a directory specified by the environment
variable DEFAULT_DIR, /home/mink/Defaults, or whatever the default directory
in star has been changed to by
newdef.
When the program is run, parameters set on the command line override those
values in the local copy of rsao.par, which is updated to the new
values. Only those parameters which are changed need to be entered on the
command line.
rsao.par has the following parameter settings:
CATFILE='SAO'
CATSORT='SAOra'
FLUX=n
Output for each source found is of the format:
source RA Dec magnitude
where the position format is controlled by a number of parameters.
