International Women and Girls in Astronomy Day
Center for Astrophysics, Monday, February 11, 2019

CfA researchers, scientists, staff, and students were invited to contribute to a number of efforts that support and recognize the contributions of women in astronomy. These activities included:
-Mailing Chandra "Women in STEM" posters to local science classrooms, along with personalized letters from CfA staff
-Creating online profiles for the Science Education Department's national YouthAstroNet project
-Transcribing the notebooks of the Women Computers for Project PHaEDRA
-Filming short video interviews
-Learning about the Harvard Computers through Glass plates and other artifacts
-Eat delicious snacks at a bake sale to support Girl Up
