This mode includes all of the information which is on the graphical summary
page. After a heading with the name of the program, the version, the user
and machine running emsao, and the local time and date it is being run,
there is a multi-line entry for each spectrum for which a velocity is being
sought.
- The first line includes the full filename of the spectrum, the object name,
and the sky position of the object.
- The second line has the UT date and time of the observation, the
Julian Date of the midtime of the observation, and the solar system
barycentric velocity correction.
- The third line contains the velocity made by combining the cross-correlation
and emission line velocities, its error, and value in z.
- The next line contains the emission line velocity, its error and value
in z, the number of emission lines used, and the number of lines found.
- Following a line containing column headers is an entry for each emission
line, giving the name of the line, its rest wavelength in Angstroms, its
observed center in Angstroms and pixels, the redshift in z and km/sec, the
redshift error in km/sec, the line's equivalent width, and the relative
weight that line contributed to the emission line velocity. An X
at the end of the line indicates that the line was not used in the composite
emission line fit, with the number following it indicating why the line was
not used:
Error Number |
Meaning |
X1 | Line width is zero. Bad fit. |
X2 | Line is narrower than lwmin*meanwidth |
X3 | Line is wider than lwmax*meanwidth |
X4 | Equivalent width/error less than lsmin (default is 2.0) |
X5 | Line is too close to the blue end of the spectrum |
X6 | Line is too close to the red end of the spectrum |
X7 | Error of center is zero = bad fit |
