From DIA to The Stanley:
- The airport exit puts you on Pena Blvd. Take this until it ends.
- Follow the signs for I70 west. Take I70 West
- Take I25 North.
- Take Route 66 west. I believe it says toward Lyons. In about 5
or 6 miles you will go through the northern parts of Longmont. The
time from the airport to Longmont is about 1 hour. Go straight through
Longmont and follow 66 another 5 or 6 miles to Lyons.
- The first light that you hit when you enter Lyons is a 3 way
interaction with US36. Go straight! (If you make the left you will
be going to Boulder. Although, Boulder is a nice place, I don't think
that you want to do that.) After going through the light follow the
signs for US36. The road you are on will go through downtown Lyons
(what little there is of it) and dead end at a `T'. You will need to
make a right. Remember you are still following the signs for US36.
- US36 will take you into Estes Park. (Switch the the closeup maps
of Estes Park.) When you enter Estes Park follow US36.
- US36 merges with Colorado Route 7. I believe that there is a
light at the intersection. Keep going straight.
- The next major intersection is with US34. At this point, you will
be able to see the Hotel across the road and up the hill. Go through
the intersection.
- Follow your eyes to the hotel.
